Dr. Shayne Anderson received his PhD from the University of Georgia and is currently a professor at Brigham Young University. His research focuses on improving outcomes in couple therapy by (1) understanding the process of change and (2) improving assessment practices of couple therapists. Recently, his work in this area has focused on routine outcome monitoring through the Marriage and Family Therapy Practice Research Network.

Dr. Lee N. Johnson, Ph.D., LMFT, is a Professor in the Marriage and Family Therapy Program and Brigham Young University.  Prior to taking a job at BYU he taught at the University of Georgia and earned his Ph.D. at Kansas State University.  His research interests focus on how people change in therapy, emotional regulation within relationships, sleep and physical exercise and relationships, and anxiety and past traumas in relationships.  Most recently his research has focused on the development and implementation of the Marriage and Family Therapy Practice Research Network.
