Welcome to the website of the Working Group on Psychoanalytic Couple Therapy (AGPP), a group of professionals dedicated to deepening and further developing psychoanalytic couple therapy located at the Medical University of Vienna, Austria.
Our primary goal is to provide psychotherapists from the psychodynamic cluster with in-depth knowledge and skills in the application of psychoanalytic concepts and techniques in couple therapy. In an increasingly complex world, we see it as our task to combine theoretical foundations with practical applications in order to effectively support couples in coping with their relationship dynamics.
The aims of our association are:
Promoting scientific research: We are committed to researching and developing psychoanalytic methods in couple therapy and share our findings in scientific publications and at professional conferences.
High-quality training and continuing education: Through workshops, seminars, and supervision in collaboration with international colleagues, we provide a platform for the continuous exchange of knowledge and professional development in the field of psychoanalytic couple therapy.
Networking and exchange: We promote interdisciplinary dialogues and collaboration between professionals to learn from each other and to develop common standards.
Practical application: We support the practical implementation of psychoanalytic theories in couple therapy settings and offer practice-oriented support for everyday therapeutic work.
The AGPP consists of experienced psychoanalysts and therapists who continuously develop and share their knowledge and experience. As a member of the German Federal Association for Psychoanalytic Couple and Family Therapy (BvPPF), we are a certified training center, working according to the common training guidelines and principles of the BvPPF.
We invite you to visit our website to find out about current training opportunities. We also look forward to a mutual exchange and to hearing from you.
